PHOENIX -- The last in a series of storms swept across metro Phoenix today, dropping a fair amount of rain on some locations in a short period of time. In Scottsdale, near Indian Bend and Hayden, ¾” of rain fell. In Chandler, up to 1/3” of rain came down. At Sky Harbor Airport, .11” of rain fell.

The front has pushed off to the east and now we’ll see clearing skies overnight and a cool start to Wednesday with lows in the 40s. After that, however, we’ll warm up nicely and temps are headed into the low-70s with lots of sunshine for the weekend.

Rainfall amounts around the Valley varied. Here are some other totals: Tempe had .24”, Mesa and Apache Junction had .16” and Litchfield Park and Carefree got ¼” of rain. The official Valley total for the year so far, at Sky Harbor Airport, is .14”.

In the mountains, here are some of the preliminary snow storm totals: Flagstaff got 4”, Bellemont 3” and Williams received 2” of snow. Totals along the Mogollon Rim and in the White Mountains are expected to mainly be in the 2-6” range.
