WILLCOX, Ariz. -- Border Patrol agents near Tucson apprehended a carjacking suspect after spotting him riding a stolen tractor Saturday afternoon.

The Cochise County Sheriff's Office notified Willcox Border Patrol Station agents that a stolen Hummer had rolled over near Bell Ranch Road and a man was observed fleeing the scene.

Agents spotted an individual matching the description of the fleeing suspect driving a large tractor a few miles away.

Bobby Ray Carter was taken into custody without incident.

Agents returned the stolen tractor to its owner.

The carjacking victim was injured and was flown to University Medical Center in Tucson.

A records check by U.S. Customs and Border Protection showed Carter has a criminal history to include a felony, second-degree robbery conviction and spent two years in jail. Carter now faces charges of vehicle theft, theft, burglary, criminal damage, threatening and robbery.
