Pizza delivery man robbed at gunpoint in Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Scottsdale police are searching for a suspect who robbed a pizza delivery driver Saturday night.

A Papa John's Pizza delivery man called police at around 9 p.m. Saturday and reported that he had just been robbed at gunpoint near McDowell Road and 68th Street.

According to Sgt. Ben Hoster, the suspect pointed a semiautomatic pistol at the victim and demanded money, pizza and his phone.

No car was observed.

Hoster said the pizza order was placed online.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early to mid-20s, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall and 225 to 235 pounds. He had a small amount of facial stubble and was wearing all black clothing, including a black hooded sweatshirt.
