PHOENIX -- Two people were found stabbed at a Phoenix apartment complex early Sunday morning.

Phoenix firefighters were called to the Granite Bay Apartments near 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road. They found one stabbing victim outside the complex and another inside.

According to the fire department, one of the victims, a man in his 20s, had multiple stab wounds to his back.

Both were taken to a hospital.

Phoenix Police Sgt. Trent Crump said details are sketchy, but the victims may have stabbed each other during a dispute and may have been impaired. He also said they are possibly homeless.

One male was taken into custody and one female was detained for questioning.
