PHOENIX -- Phoenix police say an elderly man who was killed in a crash Saturday afternoon might have had a stroke or heart attack while driving.

Firefighters were called to 28th Street and Earll Drive, which is north of Thomas Road, shortly after 1 p.m. for a two-vehicle crash with one person trapped.

Police said the elderly man T-boned a Honda, which was occupied by a man in his 20s and an 8-year-old child. The child was in the back seat.

The driver of the Honda was taken to a hospital in serious condition. The child was transported in serious but stable condition.
