Aaron-Caleb DeCook By Jennifer Thomas
FLORENCE, Ariz. -- A 26-year-old Florence man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of trading child pornography over the Internet.
Aaron-Caleb DeCook was arrested after a detective in Texas working within Internet Crimes Against Children discovered images of child sexual abuse were being traded over the Internet from an address in Arizona, a Pinal County Sheriff's Office spokesman said.
An FBI agent within the Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force determined the IP address belonged to a computer in Florence and the investigation was turned over to sheriff's detectives, the spokesman said.
Detectives traced the address where the trading was taking place and took DeCook into custody.
DeCook was interviewed and admitted to searching for, downloading and viewing images and videos of children being sexually abused and assaulted, the spokesman said.
He was booked into the Pinal County Jail on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and was being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
