PHOENIX -- A partly sunny and mild Friday is ahead for the Valley, with a forecast afternoon high of 73 degrees.
A series of weather disturbances will continue working their way through the Desert Southwest between today and Tuesday, replacing the strong ridge of high pressure that brought record temperatures to our region earlier this week.
Look for a slight chance of rain Saturday and Sunday in the Valley with rain and a few inches of snow expected in the high country.
The Valley will see increased rain chances Sunday night and mainly Monday from one of the storms headed our way. Monday morning could be a wet commute. High temperatures will drop off from where they've been, but only to the mid-60s, which is normal for this time of year for the Valley.
Dry and quiet weather returns by the middle of next week.
