PHOENIX -- A Phoenix woman is marking a major milestone this week! This young-at-heart lady is celebrating her 100th birthday.
3TV's Scott Pasmore got to go and wish Jean Hazelett a happy birthday in person.
Hazelett was born in Phoenix. She went to U of A and became a teacher.
Hazelett was actually still driving up until 4 years ago. And throughout her life, she says she never went to a doctor or took medicine, except when she saw the dentist or went to the eye doctor.
"I've had a full, full life. I've had many friends, but I'm finding that I'm outliving all my friends," she says. "But the next generation has a lot of promise."
After Hazelett's husband died quite a few years ago, she decided she wanted to travel. She tells us she has visited 52 countries in 20 years.
So a big happy birthday to Hazelett from all of us here at 3TV!
