PHOENIX -- It will be a chilly start to 2015 with partly sunny skies and morning temperatures in the 30s only warming to the upper 40s by Thursday afternoon.

Our winter storm is winding down across Arizona. Flagstaff has 17 inches of snow, and could get another 1 or 2 inches today. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for much of the high country until noon. In the Valley, a rain/snow mix fell overnight around 11 p.m. to midnight with light snow reported in the East Valley, downtown Phoenix and in West Valley spots like Avondale.

A Freeze Warning is in effect starting at 11 p.m. for all the the Valley Metro area. Temperatures will be the coldest of the season so far, between 25 and 34 degrees around town. Another warning is possible Friday night into Saturday morning, as it won't warm up much until Sunday. Temperatures will be back in the low 70s by the middle of next week, thanks to building high pressure.

There is a High Pollution Advisory in effect for the Valley today, which means it's also a No Burn Day in Maricopa County.
