GLENDALE, Ariz. – Police are investigating after three men were shot outside a hookah lounge in Glendale early Thursday morning.

Glendale police officers were investigating a dumpster fire at an apartment complex in the area of Peoria and 51st avenues around 1 a.m. when they heard gunshots. They located two shooting victims in the parking lot of the Casablanca Hookah Lounge.

Sgt. David Vidaure said a third victim was located inside a vehicle that was stopped nearby.

Investigators said the men were in a physical fight when several people started shooting.

Police said it was a chaotic scene with people running across the parking lot and jumping over walls to try to get out of the line of fire.

"There's so many guns going off it's just like I don't know who's coming shooting from where and I didn't want to be like the next guy next to me," said witness Montrai Harper. "It ended with cars leaving fast, speeding off, tires squealing and that's it, screams, you hear girls crying."

The victims, who are all in their mid-20s, were transported to local hospitals with life-threatening injuries.

Vidaure said no one has been taken into custody and there are no suspect descriptions at this time.
