PHOENIX – Winter weather led to several closures on Arizona highways on Wednesday, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

• I-40 is closed in both directions between mileposts 72 and 76, about 20 miles east of Kingman.

• U.S. 93 was closed northbound at Wikieup because of winter road conditions but reopened about 3:30 p.m.

• SR 68 is closed westbound from mile 13 to mile 8. That location is about halfway between Kingman and the Nevada line.

• SR 87 northbound was closed at the Bush Highway (milepost 199) but has since reopened.

• SR 87 southbound was closed 15 miles south of Payson but has reopened.

Drivers can expect winter driving conditions throughout the areas. Drivers should consider delaying travel if that's possible. There is no indication when the closed roadways will reopen.
