DPS officer involved in Phoenix collision

PHOENIX – An officer with the Department of Public Safety was involved in a collision in Phoenix Monday afternoon, but there were no serious injuries.

The Phoenix Fire Department responded to the two-vehicle collision at Interstate 17 and Dunlap Avenue shortly after 3 p.m.

Fire Capt. Benjamin Santillan said the officer was not injured, but the other driver was transported to a local hospital with neck/back pain. The driver's injuries are said to be minor.

The collision is under investigation.
