SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Crews from Scottsdale, Tempe and Phoenix fire departments responded to a community center on Monday after several people reported feeling ill.

Capt. Danny Ables with the Scottsdale Fire Department said paramedics responded to the Jewish Community Center near Sweetwater Avenue and Scottsdale Road around 1 p.m. after a person was feeling ill and complaining of dizziness.

As the paramedics were assessing the patient, additional people reported the same symptoms. Ables said the call was balanced to a working hazmat assignment.

Paramedics evaluated four patients with minor complaints. They all refused any additional treatment or transportation to the hospital.

Hazardous materials crews did not detect anything unusual inside the community center and all occupants were allowed to go back inside.

Ables said 26 firefighters worked this incident.
