CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities say golf clubs and a golf bag that once belonged to the city of Chandler's founder have been stolen from a museum storage facility.
Chandler police say sometime between Dec. 1 and Dec. 15, someone forced entry into the locked facility of the City of Chandler Museum and took the golf clubs and bag that once belonged to Dr. A.J. Chandler.
Also stolen was a bayonet from World War I.
Police say the items have a historic value and are unique to the city.
The Silent Witness program is offering a reward up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or persons responsible for the theft.
