PHOENIX (AP) -- Arizona's unemployment rate remained unchanged last month after two months of slight decreases.
State Department of Administration economists said Thursday that the state's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for November was 6.8 percent, the same as October. It was at 6.9 percent in September.
The national unemployment rate also remained unchanged in November at 5.8 percent.
The department says nine of the 11 major sectors added jobs and two reported losses over the month.
Arizona added 24,400 nonfarm jobs in November with most of them reported in the private sector.
Losses were primarily in construction and manufacturing, which shed a combined 1,100 jobs.
