PHOENIX -- Scattered showers will continue across metro Phoenix through the nighttime hours. Most of the rain will not be all that heavy.

In the high country, we also haven’t seen as much snow as expected. South of Flagstaff, in Munds Park, we do have reports of about 2 inches of wet snow.

Overnight lows in the deserts will be in the 40s, and we expect cloudy conditions on Thursday morning. A few showers are possible around metro Phoenix as well.

By Thursday afternoon and Friday, we should see an abundance of sunshine. However, temperatures will stay below average for this time of year, with highs in the low 60s.

In the mountains, the winter weather advisories will be dropped tonight in northern portions of the state, even though the chance for scattered snow showers will stay in the forecast through tomorrow.

We’re expecting slightly warmer temperatures toward the end of the weekend into early next week, with highs around 70.

An early look at Christmas day in the Valley shows some high clouds and highs in the low 70s.
