CASA GRANDE, Ariz. -- Agents from the Office of Air and Marine and Border Patrol located an abandoned stolen truck loaded with nearly a ton of marijuana on Tuesday.

Casa Grande Border Patrol agents responding to sensor detections discovered fresh tire tracks and requested air support from OAM.

A helicopter crew located the vehicle abandoned near the Sawtooth Mountains and covered with a tarp.

Ground agents went to the location, removed the tarp and found almost 1,675 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $837,500.

Agents seized the narcotics and turned the stolen vehicle over to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
