MESA, Ariz. -- An employee at a commercial building in Mesa was killed when a vehicle crashed through a door Wednesday morning.

According to police, a worker with Mesa Insulation was loading up a 30-foot truck in a parking lot near Broadway and Dobson roads. As he got into the vehicle, he accidentally pressed the gas pedal.

The truck went through a rollaway door, which was closed, and hit a man on the other side.

The 57-year-old victim's name has not been released.

Police checked the driver for impairment but said at this time it appears it was only an accident.

The company is closed at least for the day.
