LAVEEN, Ariz. -- If you're looking for a great holiday lights display, we found an amazing one in Laveen. This elaborate Christmas lights display by Patti and Mel Tasker features a Cartoon Land and a Zoo Land.
There are 250,000 lights, 25 zoo animals, 350 cartoon characters, 220 Christmas trees, 25 reindeer and zoo animals, 19 snowmen, and 2 huge lighted coconut palm trees.
The Taskers have been putting up a holiday light display for 19 years for the community to enjoy for free.
People can drive through or walk through, and there are even tour buses that go through.About 900 cars per hour come by on the weekends.
The Taskers say they do this each year because they love it.
The display will be up through January 4, and it should be a must-see on your holiday to-do list.
This year, they've extended their Christmas display on their two-acre lot all the way to their barn, and the display is said to be bigger and better than ever.
The lights come on Mon.-Thurs. 6:00 p.m -11:00 p.m., and Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays 6:00 p.m. -1:00 a.m.
