BUCKEYE, Ariz. – Three Buckeye schools were on lockdown Monday afternoon while authorities searched for suspects in the area.

Buckeye police were assisting the FBI and the Arizona Department of Public Safety in a pursuit around 1:30 p.m. on Monday. The pursuit led authorities into a neighborhood near Watson Road and Durango Street, at which point three suspects fled the vehicle.

Youngker High School, Inca Elementary School and Sundance Elementary School were then placed on lockdown, which was lifted nearly an hour later.

Police say that two suspects were taken into custody, while the third remained on the loose for a few hours. That third suspect was taken into custody Monday night.
