PHOENIX -- Bond is set at $500,000 for a man accused of killing a woman whose body was found in a suitcase behind a Phoenix strip mall.

Phoenix police say 36-year-old Semyon Shamsiyev is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder and abandonment of a body.

They say the body of 25-year-old Kali Bouldin was in the suitcase found Thursday behind businesses on 16th Street and Bell Road.

Police say Bouldin was reported missing Thursday night and her car was found in an apartment complex near the businesses where her body was found.

Court records show Shamsiyev bought the suitcase at a nearby store with cash less than two hours before a restaurant employee found the body and called police.

Shamsiyev doesn't have an attorney yet.
