PHOENIX -- Partly cloudy skies led to a mild start for the Valley on Tuesday with morning lows in the 50s.  Thick fog once again blanketed the high country this morning, with a Dense Fog Advisory in effect until 10am. The advisory included the communities of Flagstaff, Winslow, St. Johns and Show Low.

A partly sunny day is ahead for the Valley, with an above-average afternoon high of 78 degrees expected.

High pressure sliding east over our region brings a few more days of warm and dry weather before a strong winter storm arrives. Look for mid to upper 70s in the Valley through Friday, with rain chances beginning Friday night and continuing through Saturday for the Valley. Temperatures will drop to the 60s for highs this weekend and the 30s and 40s overnight. This cold storm will also bring a chance of snow in the high country Saturday, with snow levels dropping to near 6,000 feet.
