Mother, 3 children injured in W. Phoenix crash

PHOENIX -- A woman and her three children were injured in a car crash in west Phoenix Sunday, according to the fire department.

Two vehicles collided around 2 p.m. at 67th Avenue and Thomas Road.

A 3-year-old and 4-year-old child were transported as trauma patients. According to the fire department, there were car seats inside the vehicle but the children were not restrained.

The mother and her oldest child, a 9-year-old, were transported with less serious injuries.

The occupant in the other vehicle involved was not taken to a hospital.
