Child in car injured by rock thrown on Ariz. highway

SAHUARITA, Ariz. (AP) -- A child has suffered a fractured skull, brain swelling and a concussion after a rock was thrown at a vehicle she was in traveling on an Arizona highway.
The Arizona Daily Star reports that a 5-year-old girl was hit in the head by a rock thrown at a moving car on Monday on Interstate 19 in southern Arizona. The highway runs north and south from Tucson to Nogales, Arizona.
Passengers in two other vehicles reported having seen rocks thrown at them as well.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety and Sahuarita police are investigating but do not have any suspect descriptions.
