PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) -- An Arizona man has been sentenced to probation after being caught having sex with two women in a public hot tub.

Authorities said Anthony Michael Vechiola was with two women in a Peoria, Arizona, apartment complex in July.

One of the women was suspected of child abuse for allegedly leaving her two young children alone in an apartment.

Peoria police interviewed them and an officer reported hearing a child crying for his mother. Authorities identified the mother of the 5-year-old boy as Gina Marie Rayner. Her 3-year-old child was found in Vechiola's apartment.

Vechiola was sentenced to seven years of supervised probation for attempt to commit child abuse and for indecent exposure.

Rayner has pleaded guilty to the same charges and will be sentenced on Dec. 12.
