PHOENIX -- The Super Bowl Host Committee and First Solar, Inc. unveiled a second icon in Downtown Phoenix Wednesday morning, adding to the anticipation of Super Bowl XLIX.

A 13-foot-tall countdown clock now sits on the northeast  corner of 1st Street and Jefferson. The clock will display the countdown as well as free events and activities coming up.

"We are unveiling as we speak a countdown clock. It is our First Solar countdown clock and so everyone that comes down for the next 60 days will be counting down with us," Jay Parry, CEO of the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee, said.

The committee revealed a giant football statue at Central and Washington earlier in November.
