Phoenix weather: Rain tonightPosted: Updated:
PHOENIX -- A series of storm systems will be passing through Arizona over the next several days, bringing us chances for rain with each passage.
Right now, it doesn’t look like we’ll see a lot of rain around the Valley in terms of accumulation, but the showers could impact just about every part of metro Phoenix through Thursday. Highs will remain in the low-70s.
Tuesday night, .03" of rain was reported at Sky Harbor. This is the first measurable rain in Phoenix since Oct. 19.
In northern Arizona, we could see more than half an inch of rain. Not much snow is expected out of this warm system and the snow level will be running around 9,000 feet through Wednesday night.
The first pulse will bring us chances for showers overnight tonight, ending Wednesday morning. The second pulse will bring us a chance for showers late Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Again, most of the rain is expected in northern Arizona in the mountains.
