TEMPE, Ariz. --  McClintock High School in Tempe has closed for the day due to a water main break in the area.

Tempe officials said it will take several hours to repair the water main break near McClintock Road and East Del Rio Drive.

Students were dismissed at 11:55 a.m.

School buses transported students who normally ride district transportation to and from school.

School officials said students had limited access to restroom facilities in the morning. Bottled water was made available in the cafeteria.

The high school will be without water for the remainder of the afternoon.

School will resume on Wednesday.
