PHOENIX -- After a mild morning spent in the mid-40s and mid-50s, look for a mostly cloudy day in the Valley Tuesday with a forecast high of 73 degrees.

A large area of low pressure will tap into a deep stream of tropical moisture to bring changes to our weather pattern in the Desert Southwest over the next few days. Today, look for mostly cloudy skies with a chance for some isolated, light showers this evening and into tomorrow morning.

Mostly cloudy conditions prevail again tomorrow, with another chance for showers Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will be slightly cooler than they've been, but the low 70s are still a few degrees above average for this time of year.

Rainfall totals should be fairly light, generally less than a quarter of an inch across the Valley. In the high country, more rain is possible, but snow will stay confined to the highest elevations above about 9,000 feet.

Another period of unsettled weather is possible by Saturday. Keep it tuned to 3TV as we'll keep you updated as we get closer to the weekend.
