Jeff Lynn Twiss, 50, was found lying down at a bus stop near Osborn Road and 51st Avenue at around 7:30 a.m. Friday, according to Officer James Holmes.

He was seriously injured and was transported to a local hospital where he later was pronounced dead.

Holmes said the investigation has shown that Twiss was shot sometime between Thursday and Friday.

Detectives have very little to go on to determine a suspect or motive.

Anyone who may have been in the area during this time or who may have information about the homicide is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or the Phoenix Police Violent Crimes Bureau at 602-262-6141.
