Suspect sought in armed robbery at Yuma Walgreens

YUMA, Ariz. – Authorities are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect in an armed robbery at a Walgreens in Yuma.

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office responded to an armed robbery at the Walgreens located at Fortuna Road and 35th Place at approximately 5:45 p.m. Sunday.

The initial investigation revealed that an unknown suspect entered the store, went behind the counter brandishing a handgun to the clerk and demanded items from behind the counter.

YCSO spokesman Alfonso Zavala said the suspect threatened the clerk with physical harm if she did not cooperate.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall with blue eyes. He was wearing tan camouflage shorts, a gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt, blue shirt with dark color horizontal stripes and a gray with black helmet.

The suspect fled northbound from the store on a green sport bike, possibly a Kawasaki.
