Motorcyclist dies after crash in N. Phoenix

PHOENIX -- A motorcyclist has died after being hit by a pickup truck in north Phoenix Sunday morning, according to police.

The motorcycle was traveling east on Bell Road around 8:30 a.m. when it was hit by the truck in the Seventh Avenue intersection. Police said the truck was traveling west on Bell Road and made a left turn to go south at Seventh Avenue.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police said it appears the truck driver failed to yield, and charges are pending.

The intersection has reopened.
