PHOENIX -- Frank Gonzalez from Rustler's Rooste demonstrated some tips on how to prepare and carve your turkey the proper way.

"The biggest mistake is the time. A turkey that's 16 to 20 pounds in a 275 to 300 degree oven should take you three to three and a half hours." Gonzalez, head chef, said.

The turkey should sit for 20 to 30 minutes before you carve it as well, according to Gonzalez.

"It's easier to cut it on a nice flat surface," he said. Gonzales suggests carving in the kitchen and not at the table.

Rustler's Rooste will be serving Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Walk-ins are accepted.
