Man sought in armed robbery of woman on bike

MESA, Ariz. -- Police are searching for a man who robbed a woman at knifepoint while she was riding her bike in Mesa.

It happened around 1 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18 on Rio Salado Parkway near the U.S. 60.

The woman's credit cards were later used at Circle K near Seventh Avenue and Roosevelt Street by a man matching the description of the robber.

The suspect is described as a black man between 30 to 40 years old, 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall and 140 to 150 pounds. He was wearing a white shirt, plaid shorts and white athletic shoes.

He may have been driving a 2005 to 2010 gray Ford Taurus.
