PHOENIX -- The Friday afternoon skies were dotted with some dark clouds and a few light showers around metro Phoenix. It’s all part of a quick moving, rather dry storm system moving through Arizona.
It will rapidly move out of the state overnight, and weekend conditions around the Valley should be dry and feature lots of sunshine with highs in the low 70s.
Another weak storm system will drop into eastern Arizona on Sunday. We’ll see a few rain and snow showers in extreme eastern Arizona.
That will also usher in some slightly cooler temperatures, especially in the mountains. The Sunday system will not have much, if any, impact in western Arizona.
After that, a ridge of high pressure builds into the desert Southwest for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. At this point, Thanksgiving day looks to be mostly sunny statewide with above-normal temperatures. In the Valley, we’ll see highs in the mid to upper 70s.
