CASA GRANDE, Ariz. – The Arizona Department of Public Safety is still searching for the driver of a black Mercedes involved in a fatal hit-and-run near Casa Grande Monday afternoon.

DPS spokesman Raul Garcia said the early-2000s Mercedes C-Class passenger car struck and killed a 60-year-old woman along Interstate 10 as she was picking up a bag of items that had fallen from her vehicle.

The Mercedes continued eastbound on I-10.

Garcia said some of the woman's clothing was lodged in the front-end of the Mercedes and there was a large bag stuck to the rear right corner of the vehicle. The Mercedes has damage to the left front fender and bumper and is missing the driver's side mirror.

The victim has been identified as Amparo Alvarado Inostroza, of Sinaloa, Mexico.

Call 911 with any information about the vehicle or suspect.
