PHOENIX -- A weak storm due into Arizona on Friday will bring slight chances for rain and snow to the state.
If we see anything around the Valley, it will most likely be late in the day Friday or Friday night and will be in the form of passing, light showers. The storm will keep temperatures below normal through the weekend with highs around 70.
Saturday and Sunday, a dry northwest flow aloft takes shape. Temps won’t bounce back up as an area of low pressure redevelops over the interior west and another dry cool front moves through on Sunday.
We won’t see much in the way of cooler air, but it will be breezy at times, especially in southwest Arizona.
Monday and Tuesday, a ridge of high pressure in the Pacific will slowly expand eastward with only subtle warming at the surface by Tuesday.
A surface high tracks across the Great Basin, resulting in some breeziness in the mountains at times.
High temps in the Valley next week will be in the low 70s.
