Phoenix man arrested for sexual exploitation of a minor

PHOENIX -- A Phoenix man was arrested after authorities searched his home and found pictures and videos of children being sexually abused.
Alejandro Montelongo, 28, was charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Detectives from the Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served a search warrant at Montelongo's home near McDowell Road and 14th Street on Tuesday.
Phoenix police Officer James Holmes said the detectives recovered a large number of pictures and videos of children, some as young as 2, being sexually abused.
According to court documents, Montelongo admitted to viewing and downloading images and videos that showed children engaged in sexual acts. He told detectives that he began viewing these types of images at the age of 15 and estimated that he had downloaded images as recently as six months ago.
Montelongo was booked into Maricopa County Jail and is being held on $25,000 bond.
