Zenefits hiring 1,300 for Valley business expansion

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- A fast growing company is expanding in Scottsdale and bringing 1,300 new jobs to the Valley over the next three years.

Zenefits is a company that takes benefits, human resources and compliance information and streamlines it in one place, making it easier for businesses to process their hires and saving employees valuable time they would otherwise spend filing out piles of human resources paperwork.

Zenefits has attracted so many new clients, the company has grown from 15 employees to 400 in less than one year. In the next three years, it plans to hire 1,300 additional employees.

"We’re hiring in all sorts of different areas: sales, account management, HR consultants, support. You name it, we’re hiring," said Tyler John, director of sales with Zenefits.

John said the jobs are well-paying positions, most will require a college degree.

The company is expanding from a small office space in the former Galleria in Old Town Scottsdale to a massive 94,000-square-foot space nearby.

John said the Valley was the perfect place for the company to expand.

"There’s a great tech community here and also a lot of talent," John said. "Look at a place like San Francisco, there’s lot of people competing for talent. You come out here and it’s a hidden gem."
