Oregano's Pizza Bistro will celebrate its 21st birthday Tuesday Nov. 18. To celebrate, Oregano's will give away a free Original Pizza Cookie to everyone who visits any of its 14 Arizona locations. The popular menu item features more than a half-pound of chocolate chip, peanut butter chocolate or white chocolate macadamia nut cookie dough, slightly baked in a six inch pizza pan and topped with three scoops of vanilla bean ice cream. The best part? Cookie lovers don't have to purchase lunch or dinner, they can just stop by any of the Oregano's locations in Arizona and pick up the Original Pizza Cookie for free.

Homeless Jesus Statue
On Sunday, November 23 at 11:30 a.m., Ascension Lutheran Church will unveil a life-size bronze sculpture, Homeless Jesus, with a community dedication. Created by Canadian sculptor Timothy P. Schmalz out of bronze, Homeless Jesus is inspired by Matthew: 25:40. "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
The sculpture is a representation that suggests Christ is with the most marginalized in our society. The Christ figure is shrouded in a blanket. The visible wounds on the feet are the only indication that it is Jesus. The life-size version of the work has enough room that someone is able to sit on the bench.

Saving Strokes is an American Heart Association/American Stroke Association program designed to encourage stroke survivors and their caregivers to get out and be active. The instruction with golf pros is fun while improving strength, flexibility and balance.
In addition to golf, survivors and their caregivers will enjoy an educational talk by a stroke rehabilitation specialist. Stroke is the No. 4 killer in the nation and the leading cause of severe, long-term disability. Saving Strokes promotes stroke rehabilitation through golf and empowers stroke survivors by illustrating that disabilities do not need to prevent them from playing or learning golf.
