PHOENIX -- A semi truck fire caused delays for commuters Monday morning on westbound Interstate 10 at State Route 143.

The driver was not hurt. He managed to get the truck to the side of the freeway where he detached the truck from the trailer.

Two lanes of Interstate 10 were closed until about 6 a.m.

The truck was hauling macaroni.

A motorcycle driver crashed in the area apparently because of the traffic slowdown.
