PHOENIX -- Authorities are offering a reward for information that leads them to a violent criminal who robbed a Phoenix convenience store in October.

Sgt. Derek Elmore said the incident happened in the early morning hours of Oct. 27 at the Circle K store located on Chandler Boulevard just east of Arizona Avenue.

Elmore said a man wearing a black ski mask entered the store and took items from behind the register.

As he was leaving, he grabbed the employee and forced her back to the register and pushed and shoved her against the register until she opened the register, according to Elmore.

Elmore said he then took money and then tried to force the victim out of the store with him.

During the confrontation, the money was dropped and the victim was able to get away from the man's grip, Elmore said.

The man then ran away with the merchandise and money.

Elmore said the suspect is a black male, 20-25 years old, 6 feet tall, weighing 180 to 200 pounds, with brown eyes and silver teeth.

He was wearing a black ski mask, white tank top, tan sagging shorts over black shorts with black shoes, Elmore said.

Silent Witness is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of this person.
