PHOENIX -- The tail end of a cold front will drop into Arizona late in the day on Friday. That will bring even cooler air to the state and a chance for showers in northern Arizona through Friday night.
Around metro Phoenix, no rain is in the forecast and the outlook for the weekend is for highs in the low 70s.
The northwesterly flow in the upper atmosphere will keep the state relatively cool until late next week, when temperatures will return to about normal for this time of year.
We’re still not convinced we have much of a chance for rain around metro Phoenix for the next 10 days, but the rather stable weather pattern we’re looking at could shift at a moment’s notice.
Normally, we get about 2/3 of an inch of rain in November. Remember last year? We had nearly 2 1/2 inches of November rain. Also of note, we’ve had three years on record without any rain in November.
