MESA, Ariz. -- Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a bank in Mesa last Friday.
A man reportedly entered a Chase Bank on Main Street near Power Road just before 2 p.m. and demanded money from a teller while displaying a toy pistol.
The teller gave the man a known amount of money, and he ran northbound through a vacant parking lot.
Investigators found multiple items of evidence in the parking lot and fresh bicycle tracks in the immediate area.
The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man, between 20 and 40 years old, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, and 170 to 190 pounds. He was wearing a knitted purple and blue hat with two holes cut for his eyes, a white "Santa Claus Club" T-shirt, gray pants and tennis shoes. He was carrying a black plastic bag.
