PHOENIX -- Mesa and Tempe Police have identified a man wanted in a sexual assault of an elderly woman last month, and they're asking for the public's help in finding him.

Police are looking for 24-year-old Ekwunze Job Owen, Jr.

Ekwunze has been positively identified as the suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted a 91-year-old female in Tempe on October 18, and also allegedly committed at least three indecent exposure incidents in Mesa.

On Saturday, November 8, Ekwunze allegedly entered another female’s residence, but fled when she began screaming for help. It was after this incident that Ekwunze was positively identified as the suspect. Police say Ekwunze has shown his propensity to violence and should be considered dangerous.

"We don't know a lot about him. He's unemployed and moving around from place to place," says Tempe Lt. Mike Pooley. "It's important we get him into custody."

Ekwunze was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, jeans and tan Timberland boots, but may have changed clothes. It is believed Ekwunze is in the company of 25-year-old Alyssa Sherrill, a white female, 5’6” with brown hair and brown eyes.

The suspect's current location is unknown and anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to immediately contact police or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
