More than a dozen brides each walked away with a free wedding dress Tuesday thanks to a program called Operation Wedding Gown.

The brides were either in the military themselves or engaged to a member of the military. Through Brides Across America, the women were able to try on and pick the dress of their dreams.

The owner of Destiny's Bride said hosting the event is the least she can do to give back.

Dozens of other shops around the country also participated in the event, but this is the first time it's happened here in the Valley.
