Mesa offering solar incentive
A solar incentive program offered by the Mesa Energy Resources Department provides up to a total of $150,000 in incentives to qualified City of Mesa Electric Utility customers who install a solar photovoltaic system on their property.

Sky Harbor Cell Phone Lot Moves
In order to reduce traffic congestion near Terminal 4, Sky Harbor is moving the East Cell Phone Lot to a new location.  Beginning on Wednesday, November 5, the cell phone lot directly east of Terminal 4 will close and a larger cell phone lot will open on the northeast side of the Airport. Sky Harbor will provide a series of lighted signs guiding drivers to the new location, north of East Economy Parking.  

For drivers entering from the west, Sky Harbor will continue to offer its cell phone lot located just west of Terminal 2.

Famous Daves/ Tip a Cop
Famous Dave's restaurants is stepping up to help the families of two fallen police officers in the Southeast valley. On Wednesday, November 5th, the barbeque chain will be offering special deals and collecting funds to help the families of fallen Officers Bryant Holmes and David Payne.Both were recently killed in separate traffic accidents.

From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Chandler Police Department located 250 E. Chicago Street, there will be free Pulled Pork Sandwiches and Creamy Coleslaw for anyone in the community. They just ask you leave a donation for the families of each of the fallen officers.

That same evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Famous Dave's location at 2206 E. Williams Field Road in Gilbert, officers from the Chandler Police Department will be participating in Tip-a-Cop. Patrons during this time will be treated to special servers, whom will be officers from the department. 100% of all gratuities to the officers during Tip-a-Cop will be donated to the fallen officer's families.

The Chandler Law Enforcement Association (CLEA), 501(c)3,will be collecting the funds from both events and splitting the amounts evenly between the officer's families. The association works to promote the positive role of law enforcement in the community and represented both Officer Holmes and Officer Payne.

Free Cheeseburger Day at Joe's Farm Grill in Gilbert on Wednesday Nov. 5th.
Joe's Farm Grill in Gilbert will hold its eighth annual Free Cheeseburger Day on Wednesday.

Just show up between 10 a.m.-3 p.m. to get your cheeseburger, fries, and soda or water. (Tip: Don't be scared off by the long line. It moves very quickly.)

Nascar Kid
Eight drivers from NASCAR Next will be in town this week promoting NASCAR to the next generation of race fans. They will be at Westgate for an autograph session on Wednesday, November 5th.
