GILBERT and MESA, Ariz. -- From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday children can sell their candy back for money at a Valley orthodontist.

Robison Orthodontics in Mesa and Gilbert is giving children two dollars a pound, up to 5 dollars per child and 10 dollar per family.

"Bring in all of their earned Halloween candy and we'll buy it back, two dollars a pound and then match that donation to their school," Kristofer Kellis of Robison Orthodontics said.

The school with the most donated candy will receive an additional $500 donation.

"Last year was a huge success for us, we received over 2,000 pounds of candy," Kellis said.

All of the donated candy will go to the troops.

Robison Orthodontics gives the candy to local non-profits who use it in their care packages for troops as "packing peanuts".

The child must be present to donate candy and receive cash.

Robison Orthodontics has two locations:
1355 S. Higley Road, Suite 105, Gilbert
1635 N. Greenfield, Suite 103, Mesa
