GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting at a Glendale apartment complex.

It happened just after 7:15 a.m. Monday at the Olive Tree Apartments the area of 63rd and Olive avenues, just south of Glendale Community College.

"[There are] a lot of Glendale police officers down here," Bruce Haffner reported from the Penguin Air NewsChopper. "We have a scene. There's a victim in the parking lot here [who] is deceased."

Details were not immediately available, but Sgt. Jay O'Neill of the Glendale Police Department said the suspect or suspects might have been in a silver four-door sedan, possibly a Saturn.

Investigators believe the victim, a man in his 40s, walked up to the car and got into an argument with somebody inside. The victim was shot several times.

Witnesses said the car had tinted windows, so they are not sure how many people were inside.

The victim has not been identified, and investigators do not have any information about the suspect or suspects.

"Glendale Police Department Violent Crimes detectives are responding to the scene to assume the investigation, which is ongoing and very preliminary at this point," O'Neill said in an email to 3TV.
