DENVER (AP) -- A Denver jury has convicted a man of prostituting a 17-year-old girl and keeping the money the teen made performing sex acts.

The Denver Post reports 36-year-old Thomas White was found guilty Thursday of pimping of a child, pandering of a child, procurement of a child, keeping a place of child prostitution and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is scheduled to be sentenced in January.

Prosecutors say White met the teen in Arizona during the summer of 2012, and both were arrested shortly after making their way to Denver.

He was initially arrested for aggravated motor vehicle theft, and the girl was taken into custody as a reported runaway. Investigators say she then told them she had been prostituted.
